WorldVista second full photo review — 29 October 2026

COLLECTION: 47 countries, 258 destinations, 258 local photographs.
All 258 local rasters were decoded and checked for file integrity, stored hashes,
duplicate sources and perceptual near-duplicates. All were viewed again in full-collection
contact sheets; ambiguous subject details were inspected at full resolution.

SOURCE CHECK: All 258 original Commons file pages were fetched again, including
license metadata, original source SHA-1, source revisions and file-page warning text.
No original license or source-image hash changed. Three positive freedom-of-panorama
notices were reviewed (Tokyo, Jewel Changi, Gothenburg).

CORRECTIONS: One Dubai night-skyline source included a NoFoP-UAE warning. A photographer's
CC0/CC license alone does not clear all rights in modern architecture. That image
was removed. The related Louvre Abu Dhabi image was also replaced as a precaution
against modern-building rights uncertainty. The destination records were changed to
accurately match their new historical-fort photographs:

     The grant expressly permits commercial use, redistribution and derivative works
     with attribution. The copyright credit is displayed in the site and photo atlas.

Both actual replacement rasters were viewed. Historic identities, construction dates,
photographer credits, source pages, licenses and checksums were recorded. Guide text
and source references were updated with the replacement subjects; unrelated photos
were not substituted under old landmark names.

Source licenses and conditions must remain attached when reusing the photographs.

tools/test-site.cjs can regenerate browser results in test-artifacts/. Hostinger deployment itself
has not been performed.
